The Landmarks Preservation Board unanimously recommended landmarking the mansion at 2 Grandview Blvd. in April, lohud.com. reported.
The Islamic Community Center of Mid-Westchester purchased the medieval-revival property for $750,000 in 2015 with a goal to turn it into a mosque, lohud.com. reported.
Councilman Mike Breen did not say whether he would vote for the recommendation, but maintained that landmarking would not prevent the Center from opening a house of worship, lohud.com. said.
The committee will discuss the recommendation at City Hall on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., said lohud.com.
